January has arrived and 2018 has begun. For many, making New Year’s resolutions can be a fun and exciting activity but sticking to those goals can be difficult as the year goes on.
Set yourself up for success this year with these four tips on how to set and achieve your 2018 resolutions.
- It's not about winning, it’s about wanting to win. Maintaining a healthy drive to accomplish your goals throughout the year will keep you motivated. It doesn’t matter how long it takes you to accomplish something. What matters is your effort and determination!
- Write down all of your goals for the year, and then select the ones that inspire you the most. This will make your list feel less daunting and will allow you to channel your passion and time into those couple of goals you truly want to achieve.
- Keep yourself accountable. Make a game plan for accomplishing your goals and be specific. You can even assign certain goals to months or seasons. This will help to curb procrastination.
- Remind yourself of the “why”. When you’re losing steam and motivation to keep your resolutions, remind yourself of why you set them in the first place.
