This is a special year for Rotary International. 2018 marks the 50th Anniversary of Rotaract, the Rotary clubs designed to bring together people ages 18-30 to exchange ideas with leaders in the community, develop leadership and professional skills, and have fun through service. We’ll be celebrating Rotaract and so much more with Rotarians from around the world the annual Rotary International Convention. This year’s convention is set to take place in Toronto, June 23-27. Here are a few things to look for:
- Great Speakers. Rotary never fails to get great speakers for the Rotary Conventions, and this year is no exception. A few notable speakers are First Lady Laura Bush, HRH The Royal Princess Anne, and Caryl M. Stern of UNICEF USA.
- Networking Opportunities. You’ll be able to network with other Rotarians at the various events that will happen throughout the weekend such as the Rotaract 50th Anniversary luncheon, the Rotary Peacebuilding Summit, and other pre-convention events.
- Breakout Sessions. This year’s breakout session topics will range from subjects like how to tell your story on and offline, engaging with young professionals and connecting with Rotaract, and conversations about the end of polio and the future of Rotary.
- Us! We’ll have team members from our National Awards4U team will be in Toronto to serve those who serve the world. Come say hi at Booth 727!
